About

Hello, I'm Marta. Welcome to Moonlight and Sims, my cosy, little corner in this crazy but addictive world called the Internet. Enjoy your stay!

Me

I love water, winter, my guy, my city...
Besides writing Sims 3 stories, there are many other things that I love...

I love water, winter, my guy, my city... Discovering new ways of combining all my favourite things is what gives me the greatest joys in life.

You are very likely to find me either enjoying a movie or a book. Besides, the synesthete in me won't be appeased unless I feed it music to see or photography to taste.

And if you want me to love you too, I'm very easily bribed by a cup of hot coffee--half a teaspoon of sugar for me, thank you very much--especially if you accompany it with a portion of dark chocolate.

I sometimes feel an irresistible urge to write so I can keep my creative self satisfied, and though I'm a newly arrived at the world of story-telling, I do have a little history in trying my hand at some seriously bad pseudo-haikus, among other things.

Sappy haikus

The blog

When I started this exciting project, I merely wanted it as a way for me to store and share all the little stories that inhabit my mind. So far I've succedded in that respect.

There is a number of online places where you can reach me, so feel free to stalk me any time you wish. And please do, because I love receiving comments--as long as they're nice--and learning more things about you all.

  • photo Pintresized_zpsa68beae1.png Pinterest. I've had a Pinterest account for years, but it wasn't until recently that I got around to learning how to use it more in depth.
  • photo GRresized_zpsdf34a8de.png Goodreads. I like keeping track of the things I read. I've created a specific shelf for my Classics Club challenge.
  • Twitter. I tweet about a little bit of everything, mostly books and women's related stuff.
  • Google+. Same here.

Additionally, there are several ways for you to keep comfortably up to date with the blog.
  • photo WP02resized_zps4cf82438.png Wordpress. I keep a parallel WP blog, updated with little teasers of any new chapter I write.
  • photo BlogLovinresized_zpsfc198eb9.png Bloglovin. A great place to find new blogs and keep your feed organised.

A Pair of Brown Eyes

A-Pair-of-Brown-Eyes-Prologue

The gist of A Pair of Brown Eyes was already plotted many years ago, but I had never thought of making an actual story out of my scattered ideas. Then I started playing Sims 3, and the whole concept of turning the video game into a story-telling device fascinated me at once, since I like my pics to be led by my words and my words to be inspired by my pics. That's how I decided it was time to give my story a go.

The whole process has proved to be an emotionally challenging journey, full of fears and anxieties, but also of excitement and joy. On the whole, it's being a very rewarding, fulfilling experience I hadn't anticipated in the least, and that is precisely why I want to share it with you all.

  1. I'm so glad I have finally arrived at your blog.

    I am in awe.

It is so well and carefully curated, each corner and page being the expression of a beautiful and delicate world -- as much Claire's
    as yours, I feel.

I'm so impressed, and I do have a lot to learn from you, not only as a beginner in using The Sims as a device to generate the pics for my story, but also in creating a whole emotional and sensitive experience that this blog and story offer to us.

    Thank you.
